- Educational Qualification :- Madhyamik Examination Pass from the Broad of Secondary Education , West Bengal or its Equivalent
- Age limit :- Age not more than 40 years as on 1st January , 2017 for unreserved category . Upper Age relaxation up to 5(five) years is admissible for only to SC,ST and PH candidates and up to 3 years to OBC(A &C) Candidates of West Bengal .Age Relaxation for Ex- Serviceman as per Rules .
- Scale of Pay :- PB-2 ,(Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- ) plus Grade pay Rs. 2100/-

- Application Fee for U.R & O.B.C (A & B ) Candidates is Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty ) Plus processing Charge Rs 50/- and Plus Rs. 20/- towards Bank Charge for Challan Deposit
- For S.C, S.T & P.H candidates only processing charges of Rs. 50/- plus Rs. 20/- towards Bank Charge for Challan Deposit
