Salary Structure and Bond

The pay scale for CSA starts from 24,050 with progressive increments up to 64,480, while Scale I Officers are in the range starting at 48,480 and going up to 85,920 through stages. Scale II Managers are placed in a higher band beginning at 64,820 and rising up to 93,960, with all selected candidates required to sign an indemnity bond of 1.5 lakh for CSA and 3 lakh for Scale I & II officers for a mandatory service period of two years.

Exam Pattern for CSA & Generalist Officers

For CSA and Generalist Officers, the online exam consists of 200 questions for 200 marks with a total duration of 145 minutes. The tests include Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (with special reference to banking), Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude, each with 40 questions and sectional timing, and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Exam Pattern for Specialist Officers

Specialist Officers will also attempt 200 questions for 200 marks in 145 minutes, but with a dedicated Professional Knowledge section instead of Computer Knowledge. The sections are Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (banking focus), Professional Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude, all conducted in English with the same negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks per incorrect response.

Ration card and learner’s licenses are not accepted, and any mismatch between the name on the call letter and ID, including due to name changes after marriage, can lead to disallowance from the exam unless proper legal documents are produced.

Scribe and PwBD Guidelines

Candidates who are visually impaired or whose writing speed is permanently affected may use a scribe at their own cost, subject to strict eligibility rules for the scribe and mandatory undertakings. Such candidates, as well as certain candidates with locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, and specific visual impairments, are eligible for compensatory time (usually 20 minutes per hour) and may also use magnified font features as prescribed.
