Nainital Bank has released a detailed notification for recruitment of Customer Service Associate (CSA), Probationary Officers (PO – Generalist & Specialist) in Scale I, and Specialist Officers in Scale II for the 2025–26 cycle. The bank is a century‑old private sector scheduled commercial bank with its head office in Nainital and 176 branches across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Total Vacancies and Posts

The notification offers multiple posts across clerical and officer cadres, making it a good opportunity for fresh graduates and young professionals. Key vacancies include 71 CSA posts, 40 Probationary Officers (Scale I) and several specialist positions such as IT Officer, Law Officer, Credit Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR Officer, and various Manager posts in Scale II.​

Age Limit and Eligibility (As on 30.11.2025)

For most Scale I posts, including CSA and PO, the minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 32 years. For Manager (Scale II) posts, the typical age band is 25 to 35 years, with some posts like Manager–Chartered Accountant and Manager–Law allowing up to 40 years, and Manager–Security Officer up to 45 years.​

Educational Qualification Highlights

For CSA, candidates must be graduates or postgraduates with at least 50% marks in any stream from a recognized university, with computer skills and knowledge of Hindi and English preferred. For PO (Scale I), graduates or postgraduates with minimum 50% marks in any discipline are eligible, while specialist posts require higher or specific qualifications such as an MBA in finance or professional certifications in risk, IT, law, agriculture, HR or chartered accountancy with prescribed minimum percentages.

Experience Requirements

CSA and most Scale I posts (including PO, IT Officer, Law Officer, Credit Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR Officer) do not require prior experience, making them suitable for fresh graduates. Scale II Manager posts generally need at least 2 years relevant experience (for example, as IT Officer or in risk management, CA roles, law, security, etc.) in banks, financial institutions, NBFCs or armed forces, as applicable.​

Salary Structure and Bond

The pay scale for CSA starts from 24,050 with progressive increments up to 64,480, while Scale I Officers are in the range starting at 48,480 and going up to 85,920 through stages. Scale II Managers are placed in a higher band beginning at 64,820 and rising up to 93,960, with all selected candidates required to sign an indemnity bond of 1.5 lakh for CSA and 3 lakh for Scale I & II officers for a mandatory service period of two years.​

Application Dates and Fees

Online registration for applications will be open from 12 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, and candidates can apply only through the official website. The online fee payment window is open up to 2 January 2026, with the fee fixed at ₹1,000 (including GST) for CSA and ₹1,500 (including GST) for Scale I and II posts, to be paid via debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI and other online modes.

How to Apply Online

Students must first scan and keep ready their photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration in the specified formats and sizes before registration. Exam Pattern for CSA & Generalist Officers

For CSA and Generalist Officers, the online exam consists of 200 questions for 200 marks with a total duration of 145 minutes. The tests include Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (with special reference to banking), Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude, each with 40 questions and sectional timing, and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.​

Exam Pattern for Specialist Officers

Specialist Officers will also attempt 200 questions for 200 marks in 145 minutes, but with a dedicated Professional Knowledge section instead of Computer Knowledge. The sections are Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness (banking focus), Professional Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude, all conducted in English with the same negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks per incorrect response.​

Important Exam Centres

The online exam will be conducted at selected centres across North India, and candidates must choose any three preferred centres while applying. Available cities include Haldwani, Dehradun, Roorkee, Bareilly, Meerut, Moradabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi/NCR and Ambala, with the bank reserving the right to change or allot centres based on administrative needs.​

Key Dates Students Must Remember

Students should mark the following dates carefully: start of online registration – 12.12.2025, last date to register – 01.01.2026, last date for online fee payment – 02.01.2026 and tentative date of online examination – 18.01.2026. Call letters for the online exam will be available on the bank’s website and information about downloading them will be sent via registered email/SMS, so the email ID and mobile number used during registration must remain active.​

Identity Proof and Exam Day Rules

On the exam day, candidates must carry their call letter with an affixed recent photo, original valid photo ID (such as PAN, passport, voter ID, driving license, Aadhaar, etc.), and a photocopy of the same ID. Ration card and learner’s licenses are not accepted, and any mismatch between the name on the call letter and ID, including due to name changes after marriage, can lead to disallowance from the exam unless proper legal documents are produced.​

Scribe and PwBD Guidelines

Candidates who are visually impaired or whose writing speed is permanently affected may use a scribe at their own cost, subject to strict eligibility rules for the scribe and mandatory undertakings. Such candidates, as well as certain candidates with locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, and specific visual impairments, are eligible for compensatory time (usually 20 minutes per hour) and may also use magnified font features as prescribed.​
