Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as sailors MR for 350 vacancies (Approximately) in the Oct 2021 batch. The vacancies will be earmarked in a state-wise manner. For the total of 350 vacancies, approximately 1750 candidates will be called for written examination and Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The cut off marks for appearing in written examination may vary from state to state.

INDIAN NAVY Vacancy Details : –
- Chef. They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
- Steward. They would be required to serve food in the officers’ messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement
- Hygienist. They will be required to clean washroom, shower spaces and other areas. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
Educational Qualifications. Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit :-. Candidates should be born between 01 Apr 2001 to 30 Sep 2004 (Both dates inclusive)
Selection Process: Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 1750 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT. The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10th examination). The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.
Written Test.
- (a) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
- (b) The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge.
- (c) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th level and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
- (d) Duration of examination will be 30 minutes.
- (e) All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
- (a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
- (b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push- ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

- Before filling online application, keep matric certificate, 10th marks sheet & Domicile certificate ready for reference
- Register yourself on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with your E-mail Id, if not registered
already. The E-mail Id will be used for all future communication. - “Log–in‟ with the registered E-mail Id and Click on “Current Opportunities”.

- Fill up the Form completely. Before clicking the “Submit” button make sure all the details are correct and all required documents are scanned in original and uploaded.
- Online applications will be further scrutinised for eligibility and may be rejected if found not eligible in any respect
